****************T-STAR REGISTRATION AND LEGAL INFORMATION*********************
**********************PLEASE READ CAREFULLY****************************
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. REGISTRATION.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can register TS by sending me a money order made out to
   B. Manning for 20 dollars. Thats all i ask.
Payment - together with the completed purchase registration form
(See Purchase Form.Txt) can be sent to :
   B. Manning , P.O. Box 392, Whitby, Ontario, Canada. L1N 5S4.
Dont forget to fill out your name and address - otherwise i wont
know where to send your registration details !!
For those folks outside North America - it would help me if you
could - at your bank - ask them for what is called a worldwide
money order rather than sending a money order in your own currency.
The banks this end prefer it !!

Thats all i ask. Please add 6 dollars for those orders outside
North america. ie : 26 dollars total. Due to added costs i'll
incur in banking and/or mailing the reg code back to you.
You are free to use TS for 1 week from downloading - which
is plenty of time to test the product. The idea of this free
unregistered test period is to allow you to see if the program
works well on your particular configuration. After which time -
if you like the product you are asked to register it, or
if you dont - then delete the program from your system.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2. WHY T-STAR NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT - AND HOW YOU WILL BENEFIT.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I really need the support of all of the musicians out there
for this product via the 20 dollar registration fee.
So let me share my thoughts with you.
Heres the reasons why you should get behind T-star :

 1. Its an extremely honest effort born out of frustration.
For many years musicians had difficulty finding products
they could afford or relate to.
In summary - i've put a lot of heart and soul into TS.

 2. Like you i've been through the frustration of making records -
and wrestling with the technology. So i know the problems.

 3. Having made records for so long like many of you - i DO understand
YOUR needs for lots of digital recording features, that are very
easy to use. PLUS you want value for money.

 4. I have some really exciting ideas for this product that will
rock your socks off for the price of a meal out.
But - i need to hire very seasoned programmers to bring these
advanced features to you. As you know - technical people with
years of experience dont come cheap.
Just one seasoned programmer can cost 80k a year. Its not only
the people costs - but also special computer development
environments. Just a team of 5 dedicated professionals will
cost a lot each year including support hardware.
So - you can see why i need lots of 20 dollar registrations.

In summary - its a simple equation - the sooner i get the support of
musicians out there - the sooner i can hire more technically
seasoned programmers, and therefore the sooner i can give you all
even more problem solvers and FUN AND EXCITEMENT.

Ultimately the free market will decide on the success of T-star.
Get behind T-star - and YOU will be the winners.
If you let T-star die - it will be a shame -
because i have some wonderfull ideas for this product that will
be truly exciting for musicians and recording folks.
But - i need your support to hire the best people and give
you even more. If you have ideas for improvement - you are
 welcome to write to me.
 Now for the special offer.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
3. SPECIAL OFFER.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
To build a user base for TS - here is my offer to you.
The first 20,000 registrations - as i know people might be
sceptical - will not only be charged only 20 dollars - but
also - for this one time charge will be able to download upgrades
from internet shareware sites, which i will upload once i'm
happy they work well - and after my own extensive testing.
These upgrades will be no charge untill 2003 to registered users.
The system has its own mechanism for detecting registered users.
Further upgrades after 2003 will never be expensive - and
will basically cover the hiring of more technical talent.
I dont know how i can be any fairer. Like everyone else - i
DO have to eat !! If musicians out there have any
other ideas on how i might cover the cost of hiring more
talent - i'm all ears ! If i get enough requests i will also
issue a version for other OS's.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
4. LEGAL.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. As there are so many different flavors of PC - TS is
definitely use at your own risk. ie : " As is".
In no event will i be responsible for any incidental, direct,
indirect, or consequential loss or damage whatsoever.
Nor any incorrect information in any supprt docs or help.
The idea of the test period is so you can see if it works well
   on your particular configuration.

2. You will only use TS for your own personal use once registered.
   T-star is protected by copyright.
You are not allowed to copy and re-sell the software to third
parties. ie : its a one PC site licence. However one recording
studio business entity is allowed to have all its recording
engineers use the package in the normal course of work.
if a particular client or engineer would like their own personal
copy for use at another site - then this should be registered
seperately. If it is a large organisation that requires
a multi-PC license i will only be too happy to be accommodating
via some very affordable discounting mechanism.
There is NO intent to upset anyone. I want everyone to have FUN !!

3. You ARE allowed to make a security back-up copy of the software -
once registered, which can be stored in any location of your
choosing in case the PC you use daily were to crash irretrievably.
And you ARE allowed to put this security back-up on a CD -
for security back-up only and not for re-selling.

4. You should not divulge your registration code to third parties.
Should you lose your registration code - and need a new one -
i will still have to charge 20 dollars as i would not know
   if codes had been divulged.

5. You are not allowed to reverse engineer or disassemble TS.

6. I do not warrant that the software will operate error free,
and uninterrupted. Pc technology is simply moving so fast,
and there are just so many different PC configurations out
there. The idea of the test period is to allow you to see
if TS works on your particular PC. However i CAN assure you -
TS IS tested extensively using the special PC development
environment i utilise. Testing IS exhaustive. In fact i'm
often accused of being test crazy !!
However - for some strange reason it might not work on your PC.
This is the idea of the test period - to see if it works flawlessly
   for you.

I will not be responsible for any lost profits, audio files,
data or any other losses whatsoever. PC tech is just changing
   so very fast.
I hope you feel the above is as fair as any developer can be.
Particularly given the low price of the product !
Perhaps if your pondering registration STILL - you might look
at the developers position. We spend thousands of hours of work
on these products. Its a huge personal toll. As my wife will
attest. If users support us and let us make a modest living - then
users will be the beneficiaries. But - if we cant make even a modest
living - then developers will simply stop writing software that
is usefull - and then users will be left without solutions.
I urge you to support all software developers out there that work
so hard to bring to market good useable software. They are honest,
caring professionals who put out the very best product they can.

                        (END OF DOC)
